Sustainable Solar: How Policy Changes Impact ESG Practices in Solar System Design and Component Sourcing

Europe’s solar market has lately been influenced by ESG and supply chain transparency. Yet shifting political priorities and tighter project budgets have been refocusing attention on feasibility and cost. How essential are sustainability criteria today? Considering supply security, raw material availability and circular economy principles, this session will explore how new EU regulations and market demands are reshaping ESG strategies in solar system design and the procurement of components.

Side Session: From Commitments to Results: Deploying ESG and Traceability Through the SSI

The industry is moving from commitments to measurable outcomes. This session shares the first anonymised, aggregated insights from the early SSI ESG and traceability assessments. Through a keynote and industry panel, participants will explore where implementation is progressing fastest, which gaps are most common, and how buyers can use this data in procurement and due diligence. The session will leave participants with practical, evidence-based lessons on what works and what still needs to improve when turning ESG and traceability commitments into action.
